Pune: The team of students from the mechanical engineering department of JSPM’s Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering , Tathawade bagged best design prize at the recently conducted ‘Tifan-2020’ National competition organized by Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) in association with leading companies .

Avinash Badade , HoD Mechanical Department , JSPM’s RSCOE informed that the Parashar Team was selected from about a 100 teams for best design . The theme this year was self propelled Onion harvester. Dr . Tanaji Sawant , Founder Secretary JSPM, Principal Dr . RK Jain, Vice Principal Prof Avinash Devasthali , Prof Ravi Sawant and Prof. Sudhir Bhilare congratulated the teamof students for their success .

TIFAN stands for “Technology Innovation Forum for Agricultural Nurturing”.The competition had been organized to find solutions to the farming challenges using mechanized solutions. It provides platform for connecting the bright and prosperous engineering talent available in the country with the real life challenges of agriculture sector.

Through this program students from engineering and agricultural colleges across India will participate in providing innovative solution towards product design & development challenge.
